On my way. I was just sitting here at Starbucks waiting to see if anyone else from Eugene was going to join me. I guess they're all too afraid of a little bit of cold.

Thanks! No problem. Like I said, I needed that ride something fierce. And no, it was actually warmer on the way home. Not too bad actually.

Good luck on your trek to Seattle. The road sound pretty bad from Woodland past Longview.

Good ride to coffee this morning... little brisk. It was nice to get the ZZR out of the garage for a little spin. :D

I tried to make it to coffee on Saturday. However my tiger had other opinions about going out in 16* F temps. Fired it up on Friday. No problem made sure the battery was charged and did a quick 12min tune for good measure. Saturday, kicked over the 125 two stroke honda to move it out of the way. Went ot start the Tiger. Nothing, Lights are on but no crank... :o
:ugeek: Diagnostic mode kicks in and a quick check of battery, 12.21v. good enough. start checking safety switches, all test okay. jump from batt. to starter terminal cranks but won't fire. disassemble half the bike to check all of the relays. All okay. Remove the battery and box. brought the battery inside and set it on the heater vent. performed some additional tests while allowing batt to reach above freezing. Found a connector on the starter solenoid loosened up when the grease in it froze causing malfunction. Re-tensioned terminals and reinstalled battery. Fired right off. By then it was 10:00 :x A polar bear without coffee is as functional as motorcycle that won't start.
So the moral of this is when its 16*F take the 30 year old 125cc two stroke honda oil burner cause it fires off and does't care how cold it is.. Kickstarters should be mandatory equipment.. F###ing technology. Now, WHERE'S MY COFFEE DAMMIT????

I actually rode the GPz to coffee... finally. And it didn't blow up or anything. I even found out the fuel gage works... once you put gas in the tank.

Saw a write up in this month's Cycle World magazine about your GPz 750 Turbo and Chris' Yamaha Seca Turbo.

Was good to see you Tim, glad you made it. Sorry to see you leave so quick, Jim and I rode to Eugene and spent the afternoon at Rod's. Checked out my old Sprint ST, the last guy didn't take care of it at all and simply left it parked it the rain.
Rode the new Tiger...what a fantastic bike, must scratch up some loose change to buy one of those. Donations are being accepted.

Yeah, sorry I had to leave early too, but at least I got the shocks replaced on Stella. I still need to get out & ride that Tiger. So...donations huh? Tell you what. Any donations you give to me for the Sprint GT, I'll match in donations to your Tiger. ;-)

Hi Guys:

I am clearing out a bunch of m/c magazines (CW, Cycle, etc) I no longer want. Saturday morning,I am going to bring 70+ mags from the mid 1970s to the early 80s to coffee. If you want to pay 50 cents apiece for them, fine. Otherwise I will give them away to whoever wants them. There's some interesting stuff in them, I just don't need to keep them (having had them now for 25-35 years). :D

See ya

Well, I'll bring some large envelopes that will hold several issues. I used to carry papers and stuff that way under the chest of my jacket. I've had these mags sorted out for several years, and now's the time to be done with looking at them thinking "I could use that shelf space ...".

I've announced this in advance to give those who are interested the chance to figure out what they want to do/how to carry stuff if they think they will want some issues, rather than spring it on them.

Pretty good chance I'd be headed that way and you know me, always trunk space

Oh right! Awesome! I'd need you to come by my house afterward if'n you don't mind. But at least then I could show off my handiwork on Charity.
