Introducing: "Maya"

Postby PTS » June 7th, 2014, 6:14 pm

I picked this up in Seattle yesterday and took my first real ride on her. Holy SH!T shes fast! I have some plans for tasteful mods and upgrades but otherwise I plan to just ride the crap out of her.
Shes a '92 ZX-11C with 30K miles on her and bone stock.

Clean! Looks very nice and I bet you got a good buy since you traveled to Seattle to get it. Some carbon fiber slip-ons would look and sound great on her.

I did get a good deal on her I think, but to be perfectly honest I would have paid more for it. Its been a dream bike for me forever and the timing was right for me. All the cards fell in line so I came home with it. The trip to Seattle sucked on a Friday afternoon, but my old pickemup truck drove like a true champion.

I was looking at a polished stainless Vance and Hines 4into1 system, but I really like the dual pipe looks. So a set of slip on cans would be a good option. Im really fond of Ricks Muzzy exhaust on his ZZR. I was thinking of something similar.

My other plans are to rebadge it with factory replica decals in the factory chrome look, but with green highlights. I will be putting green LED's in the dash, and replacing all the turn signal and brake bulbs with LED's as well. I also want to change the signal lenses to clear smoked. I will re-polish the neglected wheels and then polish the frame and swingarm. I have a spare seat pan that came with the bike and Im going to custom shape a seat and have Mr Ed's make a cover for it and Im going to have the seam piping done in green.

I think that about covers it, lol.

So yesterday I stopped at 7th Gear to just have a look around. You know they have a couple spaces out front that are split for bikes. Well Im dressing to leave and I look down and there is this fresh oil spot under my bike. It only took me a second to realize that it wasn't actually from me. As I rolled back I thought to myself, that spot should have a sign on it that says "Harleys ONLY!"
I was still laughing in my helmet when I sped away.
