Another New Bike

Postby Dustpan » July 15th, 2015, 2:22 pm

Well, believe it or not, I've got another new bike to show off. I absolutely LOVE, "Ellie", my new Harley, but I got another deal I couldn't refuse. Believe me, Cheryl is absolutely beside herself, but, well...

Anyway, I won't be keeping it long, so if anyone here is interested in buying it, or knows someone who is, I have this great-running (I think, I rode it home from Albany last night and it pulls like a freight train!) 1996 Ducati 900 SS Desmo. It has four issues I'm aware of, and they are:

1) Doesn't idle properly
2) It has a hair-trigger clutch
3) It will need a front tire soon (rear still has some life)
4) The taillight isn't working. Haven't had a chance to check it out, it may just need a bulb. Brake light is fine.

OK, I got a chance to take a look at the taillight and it was a burned-out bulb. So, scratch #4.

Decent looking bike with around 43,000 on the clock, clear title.

Anyway, here it is:

Great story! Got to admit, it was a hell of a lot of fun riding it home from Albany!

BTW, RR - Last night it slept in the driveway and today it's fine.

I always used to lust after Ducatis when I was younger. If only we weren't trying to buy a house right now...

That is the same bike (model anyway) that one of my old college roommates had. Always sounded very inviting when it was fired up. That was before I had my own street bike.
We need to get together and ride our loud vtwin sport machines around sometime... just let me fix mine first.
