Highway 34: Alsea mountain chip seal, May 29 - June 2, 2017

"Deja-vu all over again"
Signs are up on both sides of the mountain, east of the curves and west of the grade. They have been doing prep work and the equipment is parked at the pass.
You can go over Alsea Falls and out to 34 without any of these shenanigans or delays & tar.
Enjoy!
Life is good.

Thanks for the heads-up Ron, I may be headed out that way tomorrow.

Top end (closer to Alsea) of Alsea Falls is pretty torn up from the winter, or at least the westbound lane is.

Good news, they are putting down excellent blacktop and making fine progress.

hopefully they won't chip seal over top of it like they did on Bellfountain RD.
