Welder needed

Postby skidog » July 17th, 2019, 10:04 am

Would anyone know of a welder familiar with cast iron (actually maluable iron), and could make a house call just outside of Philomath. I have equipment but no knowledge of how to weld. Job would be repair to the steering head on an old Triumph. I could post photos of the job if I can figure out how to. Thanks, Dave

Call Tim Noland at 541 619 3315. If it can be done, he can probably do it, and he will tell you what exactly what he can or can't do. However, 1) he may not be willing to travel to do it, and 2) I would guess that if you can't bring the frame to him, it still has most of the bike on it - that may prevent proper repair.
